Brighthelmstone presents the very best in Americana and Roots from around the world. It was founded in Brighton by James and Amy Walker in 2011.
Brighthelmstone has presented UK shows for the likes of Sturgill Simpson, Hiss Golden Messenger, Jason Isbell, Pokey LaFarge, Yola, Turnpike Troubadours and many more. Our Head Sound Technician/ Engineer
Ben Caro is the director of Bluebird sound professionals, Brighton’s longest established PA hire company (est 2003) and has been our Head Sound Technician/ Engineer and PA specialist for over five years now.
He currently provides PA for Sussex County cricket ground for all 2020 matches and the November 5th fireworks display , the pride organisation for whom Bluebird provide sound for the annual pride village street party in St James street Brighton and Pyrovision Ltd on many other fireworks displays.
Ben has worked as a sound engineer and pa provider for BBC Radio One, Greenpeace at Glastonbury, The Brighton centre, The Great Escape Festival, Americana music awards, Bestival, and many other festivals.
Ben has worked as a sound engineer with James, Alicia keys, Calvin Harris. Jason Durello, Arctic monkeys, Paul Young, Mel B, Steve Davis, Ian McCulloch, Ginger Baker, Gruff Rhys, Ms Dynamite, Geno Washington, Youth, Chris Difford, Hugh Cornwell, S club 7 and many others.
In 2018 Brighthelmstone formed a collaboration for certain shows with One Inch Badge.
Concerts promoted by One Inch Badge since it’s beginning in 2007 include shows for such seminal artists as The War on Drugs, Bonobo, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Brian Wilson, Haim, Bastille, Nils Frahm, Wu-tang Clan, Rodriguez, Ocean Colour Scene and many, many more.
