James is currently Managing Director of Brighthelmstone Promotions.

James previously worked for The Royal Bank Of Scotland and then worked his way up to Business Development Manager for an International FTSE 100 Company. Music has always been his passion, so he decided to transfer this acumen to the music industry 12 years ago. He is also an experienced Live Festival Co-Ordinator and has successfully delivered events for The Great Escape, Truck Festival, Y-NOT Festival, City Sounds Festival and Americana Music Association UK showcases both in Hackney and Nashville. James has stage managed shows that have featured: English Teacher, Little Simz, Graham Coxon, Kano, Billy Bragg, Margo Price, Yola, Warmdusher, Kingfishr, Donny Benet, Young Fathers, Songhoy Blues, Phosphorescent, Bernard Butler, Skunk Anansie and The Pretenders among others. James has also worked at Brighton Pride as part of the main parade.

In 2025 James was Festival Producer for The UK Americana Music Awards and CMAT, Lyle Lovett and Candi Staton featured among many more artists.

James has run stages for a variety of sponsors at festivals, including:  Bella Union, Mojo Magazine, The Independent, Transgressive, Uncut Magazine and YouTube.

James has been on a variety of panels including BBC Radio, Americana Fest Nashville and a guest speaking to College Students on the Music Industry and is also a mentor on the music industry to students. 

James is a massive Liverpool Football Club fan, his favourite City is NYC, he loves running, enjoys competing in Marathons and enjoys the Countryside. His favourite pastime is socialising whilst watching live music and taking his wire fox terrier 'Milo' for a a run in the country.
